Characteristics

Fruticulus parce ramosus altitudine mihi ignota. Rami ± erecti, glandulosi, usque ad capitula aequaliter foliate internodiis cr. 3-5 mm longis, in partibus vetustioribus cortice fusco obtecti, Folia sessilia, cr. 3-5 mm decurrentia, obovati-lanceolata, rigide membranacea, ± patentia, parte decurrenti exclusa (cr. 10-)15-25(-30) mm longa, (3-)4-7(-9) mm lata, apice in spinam flavam vel fulvam 1-1.5 mm longam excurrentia, margine leviter incrassata, utrinque (6-)8-10(-12) spinis ei in apice similibus 1-2.5 mm longis uniseriatis plerumque geminatis obsita (margines folii in locis insertionis spinarum interdum levissime crenatae), supra et subtus glandulosa. Capitula in apicibus ramorum solitaria, ligulis expansis 1.5-2 cm diam. Involucrum glandulosum; pars connata subcampanulata, 5-6 mm alta, 2.5-4 mm lata; squamae 3-8 mm longae, 1-2 mm latae, lanceolatae, parietales paucae, ut folia in spinam excurrentes et margine utrinque 2-4 spinis solitariis vel geminatis obsitae; terminales uniseriatae, spinosi-acuminatae, brevissime denticulatae. Corollae florum radii et disci extus glandulosae. Achaenia laevia glaberrima.
