Characteristics

Glabrous or nearly so; leaflets narrow-linear, with strongly revolute margins, acute or mucronate; bracts boat shaped, acute, smooth, erect, shorter than the pedicel; calyx lobes broadly falcato-subulate, acute or mucronate. A virgate, much-branched shrub, 3-5 feet high, with angular branches; the young twigs sometimes minutely downy. Leaves closely set, patent; leaflets 0.5-0.75 or 1 inch long, 0.5 line in breadth, the under surface generally concealed, except the midrib, by the revolution of the margins.
