Characteristics

Pseudobulbs erect, cylindrical, 300–600 × 20–25 mm, usually yellowish green, leafy on upper two-thirds, lower nodes irregularly thickened. Leaves 8–12, 80–140 × 30–40 mm, rigid, dark green or yellowish, apex unequally notched. Racemes 200–350 mm long, 3–15-flowered. Flowers 50–60 × 40–50 mm, white with pale green petals. Dorsal sepal 16–20 × 4–5 mm, usually curled to one side. Lateral sepals 13–16 × 6–7 mm, curled or partially twisted, margins irregularly wavy. Petals stiffly erect, 35–40 × 3 mm, twisting after opening. Labellum c. 25 × 12 mm, white with purple veins; lateral lobes erect; midlobe pointed, with 5 ridges, central ridge extending nearly to apex.
