Characteristics

Plants grow in long strands or form tangled masses, often with stilt-like roots. Pseudobulbs widely spaced, 20–35 × 10–15 mm, yellowish green, furrowed. Leaves terminal, 1 or 2, 50–100 × 7–10 mm, dark green, thin-textured, sometimes twisted. Racemes 30–80 mm long, thin, 5–10-flowered. Flowers 8–10 mm across, white or cream with an orange or yellow labellum. Sepals and petals narrow, tapered to point. Dorsal sepal 10–14 × 1.5 mm. Lateral sepals 12–14 × 2 mm. Petals 10–14 × 1.5 mm. Labellum curved, c. 14 × 6 mm; lateral lobes short, rounded; midlobe thick, orange with darker markings, with 3 slender ridges.
