Widespread and common in humid forests; found growing on trees, rocks, boulders, escarpments and cliff faces, usually in strong light in open situations and on the upper branches of tall rainforest trees where there is plenty of light, humidity and air movement; also occurs on stunted trees in dry rainforest and vine thickets.
