Characteristics

Pseudobulbs cylindrical, 400–900 × 8–12 mm, brownish green to yellowish, ribbed. Leaves 3–7, 70–130 × 20–40 mm, dark green, thin-textured, unequally notched. Racemes 100–300 mm long, 10–30-flowered. Flowers 14–17 mm diameter, often drooping, greenish to dull yellow inside, externally yellowish or reddish brown, lacking blotches or with faint blotching. Sepals and petals spreading to incurved, moderately thick and fleshy. Dorsal sepal 7–10 × 3–4 mm. Lateral sepals 7–10 × 3–4 mm. Petals 7–10 × 2 mm. Labellum 7–8 × 5–6 mm; lateral lobes erect; midlobe kidney-shaped, with 3 ridges.

Environment

Locally common; found growing on trees or rocks in rainforest and moist or humid areas in open forest and woodland. It frequently colonises disturbed forest and relict trees left in paddocks.
