Characteristics

Shrubs ca. 1.5 m. Flowering branchlets 0.5-1 cm, 2-4-leaved. Petiole ca. 2 mm; leaf blade ovate or elliptic-ovate, 2-2.5 × 1-1.3 cm, papery, abaxially slender 4(or 5)-rayed stellate hairy, indumentum continuous, adaxially 3-or 4-rayed stellate hairy, veins in 3 or 4 pairs, base broadly cuneate, margin serrulate, apex acute or acuminate. Corymbose cymes 1.5-2.5 × 2-3 cm, 3-5-flowered; pedicels slender, 1-2 cm. Calyx tube ca. 2.5 × 3 mm, 7-10-rayed stellate hairy; lobes ovate, ca. 1 mm, apex acute. Petals induplicate, white, elliptic or broadly so, 6-7 × 4-5 mm, margin crisped. Outer stamens ca. 3 mm; filaments 2-dentate at apex, teeth slightly exceeding anthers; anthers shortly stalked, ovoid. Inner stamens shorter than outer ones; filaments acuminate at apex, unequally 2-lobed; anthers borne at middle of filaments abaxially, shortly stalked. Styles 3, ca. 3 mm. Capsule unknown. Fl. May.
