Characteristics

A dwarf herb, annual, glabrous or nearly so, stemless; leaves fasciculate, spreading in all directions, radical, oval, oblanceolate or spathulate, pinnatifid, pinnately toothed or entire, obtuse at the apex, narrowed at the base, somewhat fleshy, 0.2-0.4 in. long; 0.125-0.167 in. broad, teeth or lobes rounded; petioles about as long as the leaf-blades; peduncles numerous, radical, 1-flowered, 0.4-1.6 in. long; calyx-segments lanceolate, or oval-ovate, subacute or subobtuse, 0.125-0.167 in. long, 0.04-0.05 in. broad, nearly glabrous, with the midrib stronger than the other nerves; corolla about 0.125 in. long, 0.1 in. broad, the two spurs 0.4-0.5 in. long; corolla-lobes broadly ovate-rounded, subequal, about 0.125 in. long; filaments glandular-pilose towards the apex, nearly glabrous at the base; capsules ovoid-globose, 0.2-0.25 in. long.
