Differs from D. reptans as follows: stems prostrate or creeping, up to 1 m long, few small plants erect, up to 100 mm high; roots fleshy and fusiform. Leaves: margins shallowly and indistinctly crenate, sometimes ± entire; petioles often shorter with shorter hairs. Calyx: lobes obtuse, upper one ± obovate. Corolla usually white with yellow palate. Spur usually short and wide, 2.0-2.5 mm long. Flowering time July-Feb., mostly Jan.
Creeping herb. Roots fleshy and fusiform. Leaves opposite, broadly ovate or rotundate, rounded at apex, 5-7-nerved, shortly petiolate. Spur (1.5-)2.0-2.5 mm long. Calyx lobes obtuse and dorsal calyx lobe obovate.
