Characteristics

(2-)3-7 cm longa (0.5-)1-4 cm lata obtusa vel acuta mucronata margine grosse dentata-pinnatilobata-pinnatifida-pinnatipartita, laciniis usque 1 cm altis, lobis vel laciniis mucronatis saepe dentatis; nervus medius subtus elevatus, nervi lateralis vix conspicui. Capitula magna in apicibus ramorum solitaria pedunculata; pedunculi 2-6 cm longi glanduloso-asperi-hirti nudi. Involucri squamae c. 20 subuniseriatae fere aequilongae lineari-acuminatae 12-15 mm longae 1-2 mm latae dorso asperulae (vel puberulae) margine albido-scariosae + ciliatae. Flores radii involucri squamas numero aequantes; ligulae flavae vel aurantiacae vel subtus partim rubore tinctae involucrum plus duplo superantes; staminodia 4 adsunt; flores disci numerosissimi flavi involucro paullo (2-5 mm) breviores. Achaenia radii (vix matura) laevia triangularia angulo interiore minute alata, angulis exterioribus obsolete alata; achaenia disci lateribus applanata obcordata margine incrassata apice leviter emarginata.
