Herba perennis c. 1.5 dm alta; caules pauci e rhizomate lignoso 2-6 mm crasso exeuntes erecti vel adscendentes simplices teretes striati glanduloso-pubescentes pedunculo nudo monocephalo terminati. Folia basalia subrosulata, caulina infima densa, cetera remota, omnia alterna puberula vel subglabra membranacea crassiuscula integerrima, inferiora spathulata vel lineari-spathulata usque.4 cm longa usque 0.8 cm lata, cetera fere linearia; nervus medius subtus prominens, nervi laterales inconspicui. Involucrum late campanulatum 11-13 mm altum; squamae uniseriatae fere aequilongae lanceolato-lineares acuminatae dorso glanduloso-puberulae margine albido-scariosae. Flores radii involucri squamas numero aequantes; ligulae aureae subtus purpureo-striatae involucrum 2-plo superantes; flores disci lutei. Achaenia radii matura glabra laevia trialata, alis semipellucidis c. 1 mm latis, 5-6 mm longa. Achaenia disci glabra lateribus applanata elliptica vel obovato-elliptica margine semipellucida leviter incrassata apice non vel vix emarginata 8-9 mm longa 4-5 mm lata.
