Characteristics

A tree. It grows 12 m tall. The bark is grey and scaly. The leaves are simple and alternate. They are 4-12 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. They are sword shaped and taper to a blunt tip. The male flowers are in groups in the axils of leaves. The female flowers occur singly. The fruit is a round berry 2.5 cm across. It has 4 seeds.
