Characteristics

Is a shrub or medium-sized tree.. With ovate, ovate-oblong or obovate-lanceolate leaves 5.5-13 x 2.5-4 cm., ± obtusely acuminate at the apex, rounded at the base, at first pubescent on both sides, later glabrescent at least above. ♂ flowers in few-flowered axillary cymes.. ♀ flowers solitary.. Corolla golden-yellow.. Fruit globose, 1.5-2 cm. in diameter.. Has been grown at Amani, Sigi Chini Plantation ( Greenway 3692, Ruffo 1071).
