Characteristics

Plants slender, erect or flexuose, 250-500 mm tall; basal sheaths several, outer often of netted fibres, more or less hyaline; leaves cauline, lower 2-3 spreading, conduplicate, narrowly lanceolate, 100-200 mm long, upper 2-3 more or less sheathing, grading into the floral bracts. Inflorescences subcorymbose, elongating after flowering; bracts dry, as long as or shorter than the ovaries. Flowers pink. Median sepal angled forwards, acute, 18-25 mm long, galea shallow, c. 3 mm wide x 6 mm deep; spur horizontal, slender, terete, acute, 8-18 mm long; lateral sepals spreading, lorate, acute, shallowly navicular, 18-25 mm long, apiculi 3-6 mm long. Petals erect next to the rostellum, lanceolate, acuminate, falcate, 7-10 mm long, with a basal anticous lobe c. 2 mm in diameter flanking the stigma. Lip linear, flexuose, 20-25 mm long. Anther semi-pendent, c. 2 mm long; stigma horizontal; lateral rostellum lobes square, central lobe very small.
