Characteristics

Plants slender, to 450 mm tall, stem wiry; basal leaves hysteranthous, linear, to 50 mm long, folded towards the apex, cauline leaves forming papery sheaths. Inflorescences lax, 3-11 flowered; bracts papery. Flowers white, sometimes with a pale mauve tinge. Median sepal with a narrowly elliptical entrance, c. 11 mm tall; spur somewhat ascending from a conical base, tapering, c. 19 mm long; lateral sepals lanceolate, 10 mm long, with apiculi 2 mm long. Petals erect, 7 mm tall, with a prominent tubercle near the inner margin. Lip linªear, 8 mm long, with a maroon, warty tubercle near the apex. Anther 4 mm long; rostellum trunªcate.
