Characteristics

Plants slender, suffused with beetroot-red, 80-220 mm tall; leaves linear, acute, numerous, basally imbricate, up to 70 mm long, erect, conduplicate. Inflorescences dense, cylindrical, 30-130 mm long and 10 mm in diameter; bracts as tall as or taller than the flowers, lanceolate, subacuminate. Flowers lime-green at anthesis, sepals soon turning beetroot-red; ovaries 5-10 mm long. Median sepal shallowly galeate, rounded to obtuse, oblong, 2.5 mm long; spur saccate, 0.1-0.2 mm long; lateral sepals reflexed, oblong to narrowly ovate, rounded to subacute, 2.5 mm long. Petals obliquely oblong to narrowly oblong, round to obtuse, 2 mm long, shallowly concave. Lip penªdent, narrowly oblong, obtuse, 2-2.5 mm long. Anther 0.5-0.7 mm long; rostellum 1 mm tall.
