Characteristics

Plants slender, erect, 80-350 mm tall; basal sheaths usually 2, hyaline, obtuse; leaves all cauline, lorate, the lower largest, with 30-80 mm long free blades, grading into the floral bracts. Inflorescences cylindrical with numerous, imbricate flowers; bracts as tall as the flowers. Flowers green, petals and lip lime-green; scented. Median sepal oblong, concave, 4-6 mm long; spur subob-solete, 0.2-1 mm long, with a fleshy callus at the entrance; lateral sepals oblong, obtuse, flat, reflexed, 4-5 mm long. Petals erect next to the rostellum, narrowly ovate to ovate, 3-4 mm long, base concave in the inner margin. Lip horizontal basally, soon deflexed, narrowly elliptic, fleshy, 3.5-4.5 mm long. Anther pendent; stigma borne vertically on the rostellum base, equally tripulvinate; rostellum erect, emarginate, c. 2 mm tall, viscidia 2, in lateral notches.
