Characteristics

Plants 60-200 mm tall, covered in glandular hairs; basal 3-6 leaves spreading, elliptic, up to 40 mm long, remainder almost entirely sheathing, imbricate, c. 15 mm long. Inflorescences corymbose, 1-5 (-10)-flowered; bracts about as long as the ovaries. Flowers pink with red spots at the sepal bases and on the petals. Median sepal obtuse, 5-6 mm tall, galea 2.5 mm wide x c. 2 mm deep; spur subcorneal to rarely cylindrical, 2-3 mm long, rounded, parallel to ovary; lateral sepals patent, oblong, obtuse, 5-6 mm long, apiculi short. Petals erect next to the anther, narrowly oblong, rounded, subfalcate, 3-4 mm long, apex curved over the anther. Lip oblong-oblanceolate, truncate to obtuse, c. 4 mm long. Anther semi-pendent; stigma on a 1 mm tall pedicel, equally tripulvinate; lateral rostellum lobes square, shallowly concave, central lobe small, fleshy.
