Characteristics

Plants straight or subflexuose, 80-350 mm tall; basal leaves spreading, oblanceolate, apiculate, 10-20 x 5-9 mm, cauline leaves closely sheathing the stem, distant. Inflorescences 1-7-flowered. Flowers pink, tooth of the lip usually dark purple, mesochile with darker spots along the margin, petal apex darker. Median sepal galeate, narrowly oblong, 6-8 x 2-4 mm; spur straight, rarely somewhat upcurved or decurved, apically rounded or emarginate, the base often widened, 5-8 mm long and 2-4 mm deep; lateral sepals narrowly oblong, 7.5-10 (12) x 2-3 (-4) mm. Petals lorate, acute, truncate or shallowly bifid, 5-7 mm long, basal anticous lobe reduced to a fold. Lip 9-13 (-16) mm long, apical tooth pendent, filiform, 3-7 mm long, mesochile margins flat or undulating, 3-5 mm wide. Lateral rostellum lobes horn-like.
