Plants subflexuose, 100-200 mm tall; basal leaves usually 4, narrowly elliptic, petiolate, 30-60 mm long, cauline leaves mostly sheathing, lax to imbricate, c. 30 mm long, grading into the basal leaves. Inflorescences with a single flower; bract about as long as the ovary. Flower resupinate, gun-metal blue. Median sepal erect, galea 20-25 mm tall x 10-15 mm deep, apiculate, margins reflexed; spur cylindrical, gradually tapering, sharply decurved near apex, 20-35 mm long; lateral sepals patent, oblong to narrowly ovate, 20-30 mm long. Petals linear, reflexed along the base of the median sepal and extending to the apex of the spur, with an acute to rounded process c. 3
