Characteristics

Plants erect, slender, 300-600 mm tall; basal sheaths several, lower hyaline, upper mottled red; leaves erect, imbricate, rigid, linear-lanceolate, up to 120 mm long, grading into the floral bracts. In-florescences lax, 100-200 mm long; bracts dry, about as long as the ovary. Flowers pale pink spotted maroon. Median sepal shallowly galeate, acute, 10-18 mm tall; spur horizontal, slender, terete, acute, 8-15 mm long; lateral sepals patent, oblong, acute, 12-17 mm long, apiculi pointed. Petals erect next to the rostellum, narrowly oblanceolate, acute, 6-9 mm long, with a small basal anticous lobe c. 1 mm in diameter flanking the stigma. Lip patent, at length decurved, narªrowly oblong, obtuse to rounded, 10-15 mm long. Anther horizontal; stigma horizontal, equally tripulvinate; lateral rostellum lobes square.
