Characteristics

Plants (5-) 120-200 (-250) mm tall; leaves 8-10, cauline, imbricate, lower 4-6 subpetiolate, spreading to semi-erect, obtuse to shortly apiculate, remainder mostly sheathing, grading into the lower leaves and the floral bracts. Inflorescences dense, (3-) 10-15 (-20)-flowered; bracts usually as tall as the flowers. Flowers facing down, with green seªpals and a brown lip. Median sepal obtuse, galea 7-9 mm tall x 2-3 mm deep; spur somewhat asªcending from a conical base near the middle of the galea, at length straight or curved upwards, aciculate, 10-15 mm long; lateral sepals spreading sideways, oblong, rounded, shallowly concave, c. 8 mm long. Petals erect next to the rostellum, narªrowly oblong, apically rounded, c. 7 mm long. Lip pendent, lorate, subfleshy, 8-10 mm long. Anther horizontal; stigma front lobes 2x as large as rear lobe; lateral rostellum lobes canaliculate, diverging, central lobe very reduced.
