Characteristics

Plants slender to subrobust, 250-600 mm tall; basal sheaths 2-3, dark brown; leaves erect, imbricate, conduplicate, linear to narrowly lanceolate, up to 200 mm long, grading into the floral bracts. Inflorescences slender, 50-250 mm long; bracts usually slightly longer than the ovaries. Flowers borne horizontally, pink, petals with purplish spots apically. Median sepal 6-10 (-15) mm long, galea c. 2.5 mm wide x c. 2 mm deep; spur horizontal, terete, acute, 5-12 mm long; lateral sepals spreading forwards, often facing inwards, narrowly oblong, shallowly navicular, 6-10 (-15) mm long, apiculi fleshy, acute. Petals erect, flanking the stigma, flat, obliquely narrowly ovate to lanceolate, 5-10 mm long. Lip patent, linear, apex somewhat widened, c. 9 mm long. Anther semi-pendent; stigma margins taller than and curved over the receptive surface; central rostellum lobe taller than square lateral lobes, finger-like.
