Characteristics

Plants 80-400 mm tall; leaves linear-lanceolate, rarely narrowly oblong, to 150 mm long. Inflorescences cylindrical, generally dense with numerous flowers, 30-150 mm long; bracts reaching to the top of the flowers, reticulate venation clearly visible on dried material. Flowers lime-green, occasionally with some maroon tinting or mottling on the petals or sepals; scent strong, soapy. Median sepal shallowly galeate, oblong, obtuse, 7-8 mm long; spur slender, tapering, acute, longer than the galea, 10-20 mm long; lateral sepals oblong, rounded, 6-7 mm long. Petals obliquely narrowly ovate to rarely narrowly oblong, apically obliquely retuse to rounded, 5-6 mm long. Lip pendent, lorate, acute to rarely rounded, 4-6.5 mm long. Anther semi-pendent; stigma simple; rostellum 1 mm tall.
