Characteristics

Plants slender, 50-250 mm tall; radical leaves c. 6, petioles white or hyaline, linear, blades narrowly to very narrowly elliptic, apiculate, 10-25 mm long, cauline leaves completely sheathing, usually imbricate, dry, narrowly lanceolate, 20-30 mm long, grading into the radical leaves and the floral bracts. Inflorescences 1 (-2)-flowered; bracts dry, usually shorter than the distinctly pedicellate ovary. Flowers from white to violet-mauve. Median sepal erect, 10-12 mm tall, galea 5 mm wide x c. 8 mm deep; spur obsolete; lateral sepals patent, narrowly to broadly obovate, 13-20 mm long, apiculate. Petals flanking the anther, apices swollen and curved over it, lorate, c. 4 mm long. Lip patent, cuneiform, tridentate, central tooth smaller, c. 6 x 5 mm, margins curved upªwards. Anther horizontal; stigma horizontal, tripulvinate; lateral rostellum lobes erect, oblong, shallowly concave, central lobe small, fleshy.
