Characteristics

Plants flexuose, 30-60 (-250) mm tall; leaves linear, as tall as or overtopping the inflorescence, up to 100 (-150) mm long. Inflorescences corymbose; bracts of lower flowers leaf-like and overtopping flowers, those of upper flowers as tall as flowers. Flowers yellow with brown veins. Median sepal galeate, 4-6 x 3-4 mm deep, acute, pi-liferous with a 1-2 mm long terminal hair or apiculus; spur subpendent, parallel to the ovary, 2-4 mm long, with a dorsal groove; lateral sepals narrowly ovate, acute, 5-6 mm long, piliferous with a 1-3 mm long hair. Petals with a small basal anticous lobe flanking the stigma, with a knee-bend half-way up the length, more or less bifid, c. 3 mm long and lorate, erect next to the anther. Lip lanceolate, acuminate, up to 5 mm long with a somewhat twisted apex. Anther horizontal; stigma horizontal, equally tripulvinate; lateral rostellum lobes square, central lobe finger-like.
