Characteristics

Plants slender, 50-300 mm tall; leaves dimorphic: radical leaves numerous, linear, 10-15 mm long, cauline leaves imbricate to lax, lanceolate, almost completely sheathing, grading into the radical leaves and floral bracts. Inflorescences lax, 1-10-flowered; bracts usually shorter than the ovaries. Flowers bright yellow. Median sepal reflexed, ovate, flat or shallowly concave, 10-18 mm long; spur obsolete; lateral sepals patent, lanceolate, oblique, 12-18 mm long, apices often reflexed, with long apiculi. Petals lorate, flanking the anªther, apex curved over it, 6-8 mm long. Lip penªdent, linear, apex often curled, c. 6 mm long. Anªther horizontal, with connective process; stigma sessile, equally tripulvinate; lateral rostellum lobes divergent, canaliculate, central lobe smaller, reflexed.
