Characteristics

Dorsal sepal 20–25 mm tall, spathulate; claw 11–12 × c. 4 mm, erect, deeply canaliculate towards the apex; blade c. 12 mm in diameter, orbicular, obtuse, galeate, the groove in the claw continued into the blade.

Petals 2-lobed; anterior lobe 13–15 × 6–8 mm, oblong, flanking the anther, spreading, the margins incurved; posterior lobe 20–22 × 2–3 mm, narrowly oblanceolate to linear, lobes partially overlapping.
Fertile shoots 25–50 cm tall; cauline leaves imbricate, 4–7 cm long, ovate-lanceolate, acute to subacuminate, sheathing, apices free; basal leaves reduced to several subacute sheaths c. 3 cm long.
Sterile shoots up to 5 cm tall; leaves up to 5, erect, conduplicate, up to 11 × 1.5 cm, linear to elliptic, acute.
Spur pendent from below the middle of the blade, following the curve of the dorsal sepal, 6–7 mm long, clavate.
Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, subacuminate, 3–4 cm long, reaching to the middle or overtopping the flowers.
