Characteristics

Plants puberulous, (60-) 85-160 (-200) mm; leaves 2, cauline, alternate, elliptic to ovate, sheath, margins and veins beneath puberulous, mostly 7-25 x 3.5-11 mm. Inflorescences 1-flowered; bracts ovate, normally 10-20 x 4-8 mm. Flowers green, petals marked with darker green spots; ovary ovoid, 4-6 (-12) mm long. Median sepal ovate, galeate, 4-6 (-9) x 4-6 (-8) mm, with an erect hood; lateral sepals ovate, acuminate, 8-12 (-17) x 4-6 mm, spurs 2-3 mm long. Petals adnate to the median sepal, curved and twisted, falcate, oblong, acute, 4-6 (-8) x 1-1.5 mm. Lip free from the gynostemium; claw linear, c. 5 mm long; blade compressed goblet-shaped, verrucose within, c. 2 mm deep and 2.5 mm long; appendage linear, pubescent in the distal half, c. 5 mm long. Anther reflexed; stigma frontal, bilobed; rostellum arms curled outwards and over through 360°, 3-4 mm long.
