Characteristics

Plants 70-150 mm; leaves 2, cauline, alternate, ovate to broadly ovate, acute, mostly 10-26 x 4-16 mm. Inflorescences 1-4 (-7)-flowered; bracts ovate, acute, 5-12 x 2.5-4 mm. Flowers whitish or tinged with lilac; ovary narrowly ovoid, twisted, 7-8 mm long. Median sepal broadly obovate, 5 x 3 mm, galeate, with a deflexed spur 2-5 mm long; lateral sepals obliquely ovate, acuminate, 5 x 2 mm, spurs obtuse, 1 mm long. Petals adnate to the median sepal, falcate, clawed, broadly ovate with a basal auricle, 3.5 x 2.5 mm. Lip basally fused to the gynostemium; claw recurved, with 2 auricles, 3 mm long; blade inflexed, triangular, 1.5 mm long; appendage incurved, narrowly oblong, apical part with papillae, 3.5 mm long. Anther reflexed; stigma dorsal, oblong; rostellum arms sub-erect, 1.75 mm long.
