Characteristics

Plants 45-150 mm; leaves 2 (-3), cauline, alternate, broadly ovate to ovate-lanceolate, acute, dark green with white venation, purple beneath, mostly 12-30 x 7-22 mm. Inflorescences subco-rymbose, (1-) 2-5-flowered; bracts ovate, 6-13 x 3.5-7 mm. Flowers: lateral sepals white, petals yellow or pale magenta; ovary narrowly cylindrical, 10-15 mm long. Median sepal flat but incurved, 8-10 x 0.6 mm; lateral sepals fused in the basal '/3, obliquely semi-orbicular, 8-14 x 4.5-6.5 mm, spurs conical, 0.5-1 mm long. Petals adnate to the median sepal, narrowly elliptic, 9-10 x 2-3 mm. Lip basally fused to the gynostemium; claw linear; blade terminating in a rounded ovate tip with a papillate crest, 3.5 mm long; appendage 2-lobed, each lobe papillate, 2 mm long. Anther horizontal; stigma bifurcate, each linear along the anterior margin of the rostellum arms; rostellum arms twisted outwards, 1 mm long.
