Characteristics

Similar to D. trothae (22), but differing in the looser and shorter indumentum of stems, branches and leaves; in the presence of an under layer of irregular short orange, usually capitate hairs in the indumentum of the inferior leaf surface; in the longer and looser panicles; in the rather shorter usually not divided bristles of the receptacle; and in the fructiferous receptacle not prolonged and only slightly constricted above the capsule.
