Dorsal sepal porrect, tip erect, 8–10 × 4–5 mm, with 2–lobed, dark basal blotch. Lateral sepals decurved, narrowly linear, 16–20 × c. 2.5–3 mm, parallel or crossed, green and brown, widest near apex. Petals obliquely erect, divergent; stalk 4–6 mm long, dark; blade ovate, 10–13 × 6–9 mm, lemon yellow with no markings. Labellum 10–12 mm long; lateral lobes 4–5 × 1.5–2.5 mm, spreading or recurved, margins and apex irregular; midlobe broadly ovate to orbicular, 8–10 × 4–5 mm, lemon yellow without darker markings (occasionally a couple of dark spots) and a central ridge, margins flat or recurved. Callus ridges 2, 3–4 mm long, parallel.

Environment

Widespread and locally common on ranges and tablelands well inland from the coast; growing in a variety of habitats, including stunted, shrubby forests and taller, grassy woodlands in freely draining, brown loam, montane grassland and herbfield in black peaty soil, and among shrubs and large granite boulders in gravelly soils.
