Characteristics

Leaves 2 or 3, 140–200 × 8–10 mm, folded. Flower stem 200–500 mm, 3–15-flowered. Flowers 20–25 mm across, bright yellow with red to red-brown markings; petals yellow, dorsal sepal and labellum lateral lobes yellow lightly suffused with brown or red-brown, midlobe heavily suffused with red-brown. Dorsal sepal erect, 6–12 × 7–15 mm. Lateral sepals deflexed, 12–24 × 1.5–2.5 mm. Petals erect; stalk 2–6 mm long, curved; blade ovate, 10–18 × 6–12 mm. Labellum 6–9 mm long; lateral lobes 6–10 × 3–6 mm; midlobe convex, margins downcurved, wedge-shaped when flattened, 5–9 × 3–7 mm. Callus ridge 1, 3–4 mm long, yellow.
