Characteristics

Leaves 1–3, 100–200 × 5–12 mm, folded. Flower stem 180–300 mm, 1–6-flowered. Flowers 30–40 mm across, yellow with conspicuous dark brown or red-brown blotches on labellum, prominent on lateral lobes; petals yellow, dorsal sepal yellow, lightly stained with brown, labellum lobes heavily marked with brown to red-brown. Dorsal sepal erect or recurved, 9–13 × 10–12 mm. Lateral sepals deflexed, 17–23 × 2–3 mm. Petals obliquely erect or recurved; stalk 6–9 mm long, dark green; blade ovate to elliptical, 15–25 × 8–9 mm. Labellum 7–12 mm long; lateral lobes 6–9 × 3.5–5 mm; midlobe convex, margins downcurved, wedge-shaped when flattened, 5–7 × 4–8 mm, apex decurved. Callus ridge 1, 2–3 mm long, yellow.
