Characteristics

Leaves usually 1, sometimes 2, 150–250 × 5–8 mm, often curled or slightly twisted, base often purple. Flower stem 50–200 mm, 1–5-flowered. Flowers 20–30 mm across, bright yellow to almost golden with 2 small, dark spots on dorsal sepal. Dorsal sepal erect, 9–14 × 7–12 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed, 13–22 × 3–5 mm, broadest near tips. Petals obliquely erect or recurved; stalk 4–5 mm long, blackish; blade broadly ovate, 9–15 × 7–10 mm. Labellum 10–12 mm long; lateral lobes 3–5 × 2–3.5 mm; midlobe 7–11 × 8–12 mm, flattish to convex. Callus ridges 2, 5–6 mm long, thick, divergent.
