Characteristics

Leaves 2–6, 60–150 mm × 1–2 mm. Flower stem 200–400 mm tall, 1–5-flowered. Flowers 15–20 mm across, yellow with numerous dark red markings on most parts. Dorsal sepal obliquely erect, 8–13 × 4.5–8.5 mm, dark red basal blotch and smaller apical blotch usually prominent, broad marginal blotches usually also present. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed below labellum, parallel or crossed, 9–14 × 1.5–3 mm. Petals obliquely erect to recurved; stalk 3–5 mm long, red-brown; blade 6–10 × 5–9 mm. Labellum 7–11 mm long; lateral lobes 5–7 × 2–4 mm, widely divergent, dark red basal blotch prominent; midlobe convex, margins strongly downcurved, wedge-shaped when flattened, 7–10.5 × 7–10.5 mm, outer margins heavily marked with dark red. Callus ridges 2, 3–4 mm long, heavily stained with dark red.
