Characteristics

Leaves usually 2, 100–300 × 4–12 mm. Flower stem 150–550 mm tall, 1–6-flowered. Flowers 25–30 mm across, brownish yellow heavily suffused with red-brown, yellow towards centre of flower, labellum midlobe purple, exterior of petals brown with a faint yellow stripe. Dorsal sepal 11–14 × 12–16 mm, margins irregular. Lateral sepals deflexed, 15–20 × 2–4 mm, parallel or crossed. Petals erect to obliquely erect, divergent; stalk 4–7 mm long; blade oblong to elliptical, 12–20 × 8–12 mm. Labellum 10–15 mm long; lateral lobes 9–12 × 4–5 mm, widely spreading, tips recurved; midlobe narrowly wedge-shaped, 8–11 × 7–8 mm, narrow at base then steadily expanded. Callus ridge 1, 5–6 mm long, yellow surrounded with red-brown or purple.
