Characteristics

Leaves 1–3, 100–300 × 5–10 mm, folded. Flower stem 100–400 mm, 1–6-flowered. Flowers 30–50 mm across, mainly yellow with light reddish brown suffusions, some mauve or purplish brown in midlobe, occasionally wholly yellow with no markings. Dorsal sepal erect, 9–15 × 9–15 mm. Lateral sepals deflexed, 12–22 × 3–4 mm. Petals obliquely erect; stalk 3–6 mm long, blackish; blade ovate to elliptical, 12–20 × 8–11 mm, with yellow exterior stripe. Labellum 10–14 mm long; lateral lobes 7–11 × 3–5 mm; midlobe tapered to narrow base, wedge-shaped when flattened, 9–13 × 6–9 mm, tip decurved. Callus ridge 1, 2–3 mm long, yellow surrounded by red, brown or purple.
