Characteristics

Leaves 3–5, 80–150 × 2–4 mm, erect, tufted, straight. Flower stem 200–600 mm tall, 1–8-flowered. Flowers 20–30 mm across, porrect to semi-nodding, commonly pale yellow to yellow with reddish brown markings and labellum callus outline, less commonly creamy white with reddish markings. Dorsal sepal obliquely erect to erect, 15–20 × 9–11 mm, apical blotch often present, margins flat or recurved. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed close to labellum, 18–22 × 3–4 mm, greenish, usually parallel. Petals widely divergent, obliquely erect or recurved; blade broadly ovate, 13–17 × 9–11 mm, unmarked, distinct from dark green stalk, 4–7 mm long. Labellum porrect to obliquely decurved, 15–18 mm long; lateral lobes curved forwards, 6–9 × 4–6 mm, spreading or recurved; midlobe convex with prominent mounded hump, 12–15 × 12–15 mm, margins strongly downcurved, broadly ovate when flattened, heavily marked with red-brown. Callus ridges 2, 7–9 mm long, cream or yellow, parallel.
