Characteristics

Leaves 2–3, 80–200 × 1.8–2.2 mm, erect, straight. Flower stem 180–400 mm tall, 1–5-flowered. Flowers 12–16 mm across, cream to pale yellow, sepals and labellum darker than petal blades, red to brown markings on dorsal sepal and labellum. Dorsal sepal obliquely erect, 10–15 × 5–7 mm, large red to brown basal blotch and smaller apical blotch prominent, two marginal blotches near base often also present. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed below labellum, parallel or crossed, 10–18 × 1–3 mm. Petals obliquely erect; stalk 3–6 mm long, red-brown; blade 8–13 × 5–9 mm. Labellum 8–14 mm long; lateral lobes spreading, 4–7 × 2–4.5 mm, red basal blotch prominent; midlobe convex, margins strongly downcurved, broadly wedge-shaped when flattened, 8–12 × 7–10 mm, outer margins often marked with red. Callus ridges 2, 3–4 mm long.
