Characteristics

Leaves 3–5, tufted, 50–120 × 1–3 mm, straight. Flower stem 100–400 mm, 1–4-flowered. Flowers semi-nodding, 18–25 mm across, white, mauve, lilac or bluish with numerous coarse dark purple striations. Dorsal sepal obliquely erect, 9–12 × 5–9 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed below labellum, 13–18 × 2–3.5 mm. Petals spreading or drooping; stalk 5–7 mm long, purple, expanded into blade; blade elliptical, 7–10 × 4–6 mm. Labellum 10–13 mm long; lateral lobes 3–4 × 1–3 mm, margins lacerated; midlobe 8–11 × 7–11 mm, usually heart-shaped, margins entire or slightly irregular. Callus ridges 2, 5–6.5 mm long, roughened.
