Characteristics

Leaves pinnately 3-foliolate; leaflets 3.5–12 × 2.8–7 cm, ovate, laterals somewhat oblique, all leaflets emarginate to acute at the apex, cuneate to rounded at the base, densely bronze or silvery velutinous on upper suface, densely white velutinous beneath, very dense on the primary and secondary veins; petiole 1.1–3 cm long; rhachis 4–7 cm long; petiolules 5–6 mm long; stipules early caducous; stipels 7–11 mm long, linear-lanceolate.

Calyx densely white sericeous; tube 7–8 mm long; lobes 6–17 mm long, narrowly triangular, lower central lobe twice the length of the lateral lobes, upper pair fused for almost all of their length.
Flowers in terminal pseudoracemes; peduncle 11–17 cm long; rhachis 4–19 cm long; pedicels 4–20 mm long; bracts 5–6 mm long, filiform, caducous; bracteoles 6–18 mm long, filiform, caducous.
