Trees, ca. 18 m tall; branchlets grayish brown, minutely pubescent to glabrous, with white lenticels. Petiole and rachis terete, minutely grayish yellow pubescent; leaf blade to 50 cm, imparipinnately compound with alternate leaflets; leaflet petiolule 4-6 mm, minutely gray pubescent, grooved apically; leaflet blade oblong, highly asymmetrical, 9-13 × 2.5-4 cm, coriaceous, glabrous adaxially, abaxially with tufts of hairs in axils of lateral veins, base oblique with one side acute, one rounded, margin entire, apex acuminate or acute, lateral veins 8-19 pairs, prominent on both surfaces, reticulate venation visible on both surfaces. Inflorescence and flowers not seen. Drupe subglobose, 3.5-5 cm in diam., glabrous, 5-locular, rarely 2-4-locular by abortion; mesocarp fleshy; endocarp ca. 3.5 cm in diam., woody.
