Characteristics

Leaf 10–20 mm across, heart-shaped, dull, greyish to blue-grey with darker veins, minutely papillate. Flower stem 150–300 mm tall. Pedicel 10–12 mm long. Tepals 9–11 mm long, pale greenish yellow and red. Labellum basal stalk 7–8 mm long, yellowish green, unspotted or with few dark spots. Labellum lamina 10–11 × 3.5–4 mm, 2-coloured, dark red to purple with pale green middle section; head structure c. 3 mm long, densely covered with shiny black, wart-like calli and protruding, branched hairs; middle section with purple warts and hairs; tail straight or shallowly upcurved, glabrous. Column 7–8 mm long; foot 7–9 mm long. Anther cap with curved apical point.
