Characteristics

Leaf 15–20 mm across, heart-shaped, grey-green or olive-green, dull, veins conspicuous. Flower stem 150–400 mm tall. Pedicel 12–15 mm long. Tepals 10–15 × 1.5–2 mm, pale greenish yellow. Labellum basal stalk 7–9 mm long, pale green with prominent dark spots. Labellum lamina 10–12 × 3.5–4 mm, 2-coloured, dark red to purple with pale green middle section; head structure with narrow neck, greenish, densely covered with large, knobbly, shiny black calli; middle section cylindrical, with large, purple, wart-like calli and short, red to purple hairs; tail prominently hooked upwards at apex, glabrous. Column 7–9 mm long; foot 7–9 mm long. Anther cap with an apical point.
