Characteristics

Shrub to 1.5 m high. Leaves subsessile or with petiole to 20 mm long; lamina narrowly to very narrowly elliptic to narrowly ovate or occasionally ovate-elliptic, often falcate, 7–10 cm long, 15–25 mm wide, concolorous, markedly reduced in size in distal parts to only c. 3 cm long and 2 mm wide when sublinear and straight. Inflorescence narrow, 5–15 mm long; pedicels 1.5–3.5 mm long. Calyx 2.2–4.5 mm long, the lobes markedly (1.3–2 times) longer than tube. Corolla 5–8 mm long; tube c. 2 mm diam. at apex; lobes narrowly triangular, 2–4 mm long with acute to acuminate apex. Stamens 4, the shorter pair 1–1.5 mm long, the longer pair 2–2.5 mm long. Style c. 2 mm long, approximately equal to the upper stamens. Berry not seen.
