Annual herb 40–50 cm high; stems smooth, glabrous.. Leaves sessile, narrowly elliptic, 1–5 cm long, 0.1–0.4 cm wide, base obtuse, margins entire, apex attenuate and obtuse, glabrous.. Capitula solitary or several in lax long-stalked groups, discoid; involucre 5–6.5 mm long, 2.5–3 mm in diameter; phyllaries 7–8, ± 5 mm long, glabrous but for the penicillate apex.. Disc florets pale yellow, corolla 4–4.6 mm long, lobes 0.8–1.4 mm long.. Achenes 2.5–3.2 mm long, very shortly hairy; pappus 2–3 mm long.
