Probably annual herb ± 40 cm tall; stems sparsely pubescent towards the base.. Leaves pale purplish, sessile; lower ovate, cordate to broadly cuneate and narrowly decurrent onto an exauriculate petioloid base; upper broadly decurrent and auriculate at the base, 1–4 cm long, 0.3–2 cm wide, all coarsely sinuate-dentate, shortly scattered-pubescent.. Capitula numerous in congested corymbs, discoid; stalks of individual capitula slender; involucre cylindrical, 2.5 mm long, 1 mm in diameter; phyllaries 5, 2 mm long, glabrous.. Disc florets pale magenta, corolla 3 mm long, lobes 1.5 mm long.. Achenes 1 mm long, shortly hairy; pappus 1.5 mm long.
