Weakly erect herb ± 40 cm high; stems glabrous.. Leaves sessile, narrowly oblong to linear, 1–5.2 cm long, 0.1–0.5 cm wide, base attenuate, margins entire, apex attenuate, glabrous.. Capitula 1–2 in lax terminal corymbs, long-stalked, discoid; stalks of the individual capitula glabrous or minutely puberulous below the capitulum; involucre cylindrical, 6.5 mm long, 1.5–2 mm in diameter; phyllaries 8, green, glabrous or sparsely puberulous, 6 mm long.. Disc florets orange; corolla 7–7.3 mm long, tube glabrous, lobes 1.2–2.2 mm long, those of the outer florets the larger.. Achenes 2 mm long, glabrous; pappus 4.5–5 mm long.
